Past Programmes: The Business Hot House

Bespoke support packages for growing companies in the South East.

The Business Hot House Programme ran from 2020-2023 and was designed to provide bespoke support for businesses at different stages of development, ranging from pre-start to established enterprises. Each 12-hour package of support could comprise of one-to-one guidance, hands-on workshops, written reports and practical advice to help businesses in the South East grow, innovate and thrive.

Key components of the programme included:

  • Tailored business advice for early-stage and established businesses.
  • Focus on pre-start businesses, supporting enterprises within their first 12 months of operation.
  • In-depth guidance on introducing innovative products and services to businesses.
Funding of £1,000,000 provided by the European Regional Development Fund

THE IMPACT:

  • 293 enterprises supported
  • 64 enterprises supported during their first 12 months of operation
  • 21 new full-time jobs created
  • 6 new products developed and launched
