The Bamboo Club was our exclusive peer networking and coaching programme for East Sussex business leaders
Running from 2021-2023, the Bamboo Club was our exclusive peer networking and coaching programme for East Sussex business leaders – an ‘inner circle’ of the most inspiring, fast-growing companies in the county. Each hand-picked cohort of founders and business owners from a range of different industries and backgrounds met regularly for masterclasses with our team of expert facilitators, and to share and solve common challenges.
Key components of the programme included:
- Cohort-based collaboration – each monthly session comprised of a ‘masterclass’ presentation, followed by peer-to-peer workshops and action learning sets designed to share insight and experiences from across diverse industries.
- Intensive support – each business received a minimum of 35 hours of tailored support, including business coaching, peer group sessions and workshops.
- Focus on innovation – the programme supported businesses to implement new-to-firm products, services or processes, encouraging innovation as a key driver of growth and sustainability.
THE IMPACT:
- 32 businesses supported
- 11 successfully implemented new products, services or processes
- 53 jobs safeguarded and 36 new jobs created
- Average satisfaction rating of 87.5%
The programme has made me consider my leadership style, the culture I want to be part of, and the importance of staff development, team building and management strategies. I feel like I have more of the tools and knowledge to do this now – we instigated a team day and restructured staff roles and responsibilities in a way that I hope will sustain the business for growth.
