UK-Switzerland Bilateral Collaborative R&D (CR&D) Competition
Funding to enhance UK and Swiss collaborations and capabilities in technology.
What is it? The aim of this competition is to strengthen UK and Swiss collaborations and capabilities in emerging fields of technology. The result being, the developing and delivering of new innovations and applications of the technologies across a broad range of other sectors. Applications are open for UK project grant funding requests of up to £450,000.
Who is it for? The competition is focused on, but not only limited to, innovation and development in the following technological fields: Quantum, AI, semiconductor applications, and life sciences.

Waterloo Foundation – Environment Programme
Grants for environmental, conservation and sustainability projects.
What is it? The Waterloo Foundation is looking to support to projects that are striving to mitigate humans’ damaging effects on the planet and that contribute to long-term positive environmental change. The fund is split into two main programmes: Tropical Rainforests (support for projects protecting tropical rainforests), and Marine (support for projects working to prevent the decline of fish stocks).
Who is it for? Grants will be prioritised to support UK-based charities. For example, UK-based charities partnered with smaller local NGOs based in the countries in which they operate.

Sport England: Active together (with crowdfunding)
Funding for sport and physical activity organisations
What is it? This funding is intended to help sport and physical activity organisations to move forward with priority projects and running costs that they might be struggling with due to the pandemic or the cost-of-living crisis or other local crisis situations, such as adverse weather. Match investments of up to £10,000 are available, subject to eligibility, to support organisations with getting back on track.
Who is it for? Targeted at organisations that are working to support widespread communities with physical activity and sports, but are undergoing short-term financial hardship, or the ceasing of operations due to a crisis.

Sussex Community Foundation Grant
Funding for community groups and voluntary organisations across Sussex.
What is it? Sussex Community Foundation Grant aims to support organisations who want to contribute to the local area and communities in Sussex. Main grants are available to cover a range of core and project costs including support for work planned in response to the cost-of-living crisis.
Who is it for? Grants are mainly focused on providing support to small-scale voluntary groups across Sussex with an annual income of less than £100,000. However, funding can be offered to eligible community groups, small-to-medium sized voluntary organisations, and not-for-profit volunteer-led organisations whose annual income does not exceed £2 million. Please note these funds cannot support small contributions to large capital appeals or campaigns.
