This is a two part workshop: Writing A Great 60 Second Pitch & Understanding Your Customer

1. If you haven’t got a clear 60-second pitch, you could be missing out on opportunities to grow your business every day. Even in such uncertain times, you never know when the opportunity to support others may arise, so it is important to be able to explain your business quickly and simply. Join me as we break the 60-second or ‘elevator’ pitch down into its component parts. You’ll come away with a clear understand around what to put in and leave out and how to structure for maximum impact. We’ll give you all the tools, tips and hints for you to crack on with writing a pitch you’re confident in and proud of straight away. We’ll also share some great practical tips when pitching to an audience of 1 or 100.
2. Our mindset shapes everything we think and everything we do. From the brand of pasta or toilet roll we buy to the top priority business decisions we make. Often these decisions are made for us by our unconscious and could often be holding us back because these decisions are uncertain or uncomfortable – especially just now. In this session we will take a deep dive into The Power of Mindset. We’ll be looking at how our mindset is formed and influenced to understand why different situations feel comfortable or not. You’ll come away with a deeper understanding of your own mind-set, where it may be holding you back, and the tools and techniques you need to take the next uncomfortable step.

This event is held in partnership with NatWest Entrepreneurship team and BIPC Sussex.

This is an in person event held at Hastings Library.

What is your cancellation policy?

The majority of our events are free, but places are often limited – especially for in-person events, therefore please make sure you cancel your place, if you are unable to attend. You can cancel through your Eventbrite booking or emailing bipc@brighton-hove.co.uk.

Can I attend if I’m not a member of the library?

Absolutely! Any Sussex based business/ person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library as it’s free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
