One day Business Finance Bootcamp – 27th June 2024

The Business Finance Bootcamp is the Third in a series of three Bootcamps to help you start a business, keep it going and continue to grow it.

Finances are often the last thing business owners want to look at or consider, but making money is the fundamental reason most people go into business.

Digital technology has revolutionised the way we manage accounts, and with the government now making tax digital, keeping digital records is actually a legal requirement.

This one-day Bootcamp will help you to stay organised, legal and compliant, and you may even enjoy making the numbers work.

The Business Finance Bootcamp includes the following modules:

• We will look at start-up costs and funding, including the many different options for raising funds
• What is profit, and how to develop a Profit & Loss (P&L) forecast
• How digital Technology has changed the way we run accounts
• The many different digital apps and how they help, including expenses, accounting, bookkeeping and payroll
• A presentation from a local, successful entrepreneur about developing experts around you to deliver success

In addition to the above, after the Bootcamp each delegate will receive two 1-hour follow-up one-to-one sessions in the following weeks for bespoke advice.

Stuart Woodrow: Stuart comes from an experienced and successful banking career, working with small businesses and SMEs. My principal focus is on assisting businesses with their growth/strategic debt requirements.

Stuart will shine a light on what banks are looking for when assessing business plans and offer insights on how to be successful.

Esther Kyesimira: Esther is a local accountant with a passion for Xero and the power of the software.

Esther works with clients to help them understand automating invoices and bills, reconciling bank transactions, and getting up-to-date reporting on financial performance.

Esther will be bringing her expertise on digital accounting advice.

Andre Thomas: As the founder of Thomas Telman, a HR consulting firm, he has over 11 years of experience in helping organisations improve their employee retention and engagement.

Andre has a strong background in data collection and analysis, focus group moderation, and report writing, as well as skills in human resources, people management, and recruitment.

Andre will be bringing his methods and expertise on creating company culture.

Cost: Business Start-up & Go one-day Bootcamp costs only £20 per person, including VAT.

Location: StartUp Croydon Business Centre, Weatherill House, 23 Whitestone Way, Croydon.

Times: Registration on the day is strictly 9:30 am, and the sessions will end at around 4.30 pm
