Are you a business or charity in Brighton & Hove? Book a free 45 minute online 121 session with Laura, who can answer your workplace wellbeing questions or help you create a workplace welbeing programme for your business.

Choose from a selection of dates and times to suit you. Once you’ve registered, we’ll pass on your details (name and email address) to Laura, who will contact you with joining instructions for your 121 session with her.

In this session Laura can help you to:

  • Find out what your staff need to be more healthy
  • Review and analyse your staff needs if you know them
  • Plan and implement a workplace wellbeing programme
  • Advice on support for your staff tackling a specific health need
  • Make sure your wellbeing programme is working
  • Review or help you update any current wellbeing programmes, actions plans and or wellbeing policies
  • Provide you with templates, toolkits, and resources to take away
  • Advice and support on delivering health campaigns in your workplace
  • Provide workplace wellbeing general advice and support
  • Advice and support around these healthy lifestyle areas relating to your workplace: mental health and wellbeing support, physical activity support , stop smoking support, alcohol or drugs support , general advice about good health

Together with Laura you can make a plan to help your staff get healthier. This plan is called a workplace wellbeing programme. Laura can help you make positive changes and stick to them, and make sure they become part of your organisation’s everyday life.

Expert biography

Laura Wood, Health Improvement Specialist – Workplace Wellbeing, Healthy Lifestyles Team at Brighton & Hove City Council, worked in public health for 7 years and 3 years previous in sport and leisure. Laura has the following qualifications:Public Health qualifications in Health Behaviour Change and Health Improvement; Degree in Sport and Leisure Management; Qualifications in Nutrition and Health; Sports Coach, Management and Trainer.

This session will be held online. Once you’ve registered, you will receive the video call joining instructions from the business expert prior to your session.

Following the session, the expert will send you a feedback form which we would be grateful if you could complete to allow us to monitor the success of our offered expert 121s.

Important

All our expert one-to-one meetings on offer are free, but places are limited as our business expert partners are giving their valuable time to the BIPC and to you for free while fitting these sessions into their busy schedule. Therefore, if you need to cancel the session, to give a chance for others to still book it, please give at least two working days’ notice when possible via:

  • email to bipc@brighton-hove.gov.uk, or
  • cancelling your booking on Eventbrite, or
  • email/call to the business expert.

FAQs

What is your cancellation policy?

The majority of our events are free, but places are often limited – especially for in-person events, therefore please make sure you cancel your place, if you are unable to attend. You can cancel through your Eventbrite booking or emailing bipc@brighton-hove.co.uk.

Can I attend if I’m not a member of the library?

Absolutely! Any Sussex based business/ person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library as it’s free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
