We are excited to announce that we are hosting the first Early Career Researcher Symposium, a special research insight and networking event, organised by the Research Staff Office (RSO) as part of the Summer of Research events.
This one-day symposium celebrates the work that our research staff undertake at the university and gives an opportunity to explore the different ways researchers navigate their research careers.
Alongside our keynote speech and Career Development Roundtable we will be hearing the competitive pitches of researchers, Dragons’ Den style, as they bid for funding prizes. Come along and vote for the Peoples Choice Award of £1,500 funding!
There will also be time to vote for your favourite photo in our Research Image Competition and see the work of our successful Seed Fund awardees.
The ECR Symposium is a valuable career development opportunity, wherever you are on your journey as a researcher. As a member of research staff or a PhD student you will have the chance to learn more about the research journey and benefit from the experience of others. This event is also open to all at the university to hear more about the exciting research that is being undertaken.
