BIPC Start-Up Day 2023

Come along to the Business & IP Centre (BIPC) in Jubilee Library Brighton and be part of our FREE BIPC National Network event Start-Up Day 2023.

This year the focus of our Start-Up Day is on the creative sector, but anyone thinking of starting a business or want to grow their existing business – in any sector – are welcome to join our event!

You can stay for the whole event or just come for a couple of hours!

During the day you will have the opportunity to

• Learn about how we can help you start and grow your business
• Mini Start-Up Expo – meet some start-ups from the creative industry showcasing their business and get inspired by their business journey
• Attend our bitesize in-person business research databases and Intellectual Property sessions
• Meet some of our business experts in residence that offer free 121 meetings through the BIPC
• and network with your peers.

And all the above while enjoying light refreshments throughout the day.

As this is an in-person event, please do register your place even if you don’t stay for the full event, as we need to manage the attendee numbers in the Centre. If you have any questions, email bipc@brighton-hove.gov.uk

Following the event, the BIPC will send you a feedback form which we would be grateful if you could complete to allow us to monitor the success of our events.

FAQs

What is your cancellation policy?

The majority of our events are free, but places are often limited – especially for in-person events, therefore please make sure you cancel your place, if you are unable to attend. You can cancel through your Eventbrite booking or emailing bipc@brighton-hove.co.uk.

Can I attend if I’m not a member of the library?

Absolutely! Any Sussex based business/ person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library as it’s free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
