Belonging: Unlock Your Potential with the Ancient Code of Togetherness by Owen Eastwood

Are you interested in new ideas to grow and develop yourself and your business?

Join us for the next Chamber Business Book Club on 22 February – it’s for people who love to learn, want to get new perspectives on business and personal development – and would also like to meet other like-minded individuals.

The book we’re reading for the February book club is Belonging: Unlock Your Potential with the Ancient Code of Togetherness.

Owen Eastwood is one of the world’s most sought-after performance coaches. He has worked with the England Men’s football team in the run up to the Euros, NATO and The Royal Ballet. In the book he draws on his own Maori ancestry and explores the Maori idea, Whakapapa, which embodies our universal human need to belong.

Aspects of Owen’s unique approach include: finding your identity story; defining a shared purpose; visioning future success; sharing ownership with others; understanding the ‘silent dance’ that plays out in groups; setting the conditions to unleash talent; and converting our diversity into a competitive advantage.

This book is for anyone in business who is interested in building and developing high performing teams. Or who is interested in the principle of Togetherness, in an increasingly fractured world.

So grab yourself a drink, get comfortable and join us online for an hour and a half of thought-provoking book and business chat.

About the event

Amy Lishman, Head of Member Engagement, facilitates the discussion and shares prompts and questions about the themes and topics for you to reflect upon. Currently hosted on Zoom, for now, Chamber Book Club happens every three months.

We’ll send you a synopsis of the book a couple of weeks in advance, to get you thinking about what you might contribute on the night.

You can buy the book from any good retailer. City Books has an excellent selection of business books. You can buy over the phone from them or online through https://uk.bookshop.org/shop/city-books. Bookshop.org is an online bookshop that supports independent bookshops.

You do not need to have come to the previous Book Clubs to attend.
