Are you a Business Owner, HR or People Director? Join us in exploring how to make flexible working in Brighton THE example of best practice.

Join Flexibility Matters for a peer mentoring session to discuss ‘Flexible Working Best Practice in Brighton and across Sussex’ supporting Rockinghorse Children’s Charity.

Flexibility Matters is delighted to host FlexForwardBrighton - a breakfast briefing on 23rd June, 8.30 – 11.30am.

We are delighted that FlexForwardBrighton will be supporting Rockinghorse Children’s Charity – the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. We are suggesting a donation of £30 per attendee, with just a minimum £1 to book your seat and all profits going to Rockinghorse. We hope you will give generously to an amazing charity close to our hearts.

FlexForwardBrighton is the next iteration in the FlexForward series of events, now in its 4th year. FlexForwardBrighton will be opened by our Keynote Speakers: David Blackburn, Chief People Officer at the FSCS, Dr Charlotte Rae, Psychology Lecturer at Sussex University researching the neuroscience of the 4-day week and Donna Holland, CEO of Rockinghorse Children’s charity, who will also be our peer mentors.

Peer Mentors: We will also be joined by Jane Van Zyl, CEO of Working Families, Caroline Watkins, Partner EMW – winner of the GDBAwards 2023 – Best Practice in Flexible Working, Carlene Jackson CEO of Cloud9Insight, pioneer of the 9-day fortnight and neurodiversity champion, Jessica Hornsby, a business psychologist and Founder of Equalital and Hanna Smith, Director of People at Paddle.

The breakout sessions allow participants to learn, share and exchange ideas regarding the challenges and progress businesses in Brighton and across Sussex working towards best practice in flexible working. We want to share knowledge and experience with practical hands-on suggestions and advice for how to define, create and utilise a flexible working culture and environment that thrives and empowers businesses and employees.

Flex working has many proven results, happier staff means happier at work more energy, less sickness, in the long run huge rewarding results for both employee and the business.

We will collate the discussions and share the collective ideas to create a white paper on the Best Practice in Flexible Working in Brighton.
